Search "startup branding agencies" and you get Clutch, and branding agencies' own lists of the best branding agencies, several with the author near the top. One of them warns that the big names "have outgrown typical startup budgets" without saying what those budgets are. This page says. Thirteen agencies read on their own websites on 25 September 2026, what each publishes about price, scope and time, and what each is actually for. We sell startup branding too; SUUR is one row, marked.
The finding, and it runs opposite to the hotel and MVP pages: the budget end publishes, the famous names do not. Eight of thirteen publish a number. All five that quote only are the most established studios in the set.
Two-week brand sprints: the published floor

Upspire Labs sells a $10,000 brand sprint for deep-tech startups, delivered on day 10: messaging, a logo system, palette, type, a style guide and a five-page brand guide, with up to two revision rounds and further work at $175 an hour. Naming and the website are separate. Named clients include QuantumScape.

Foundation in London charges "a fixed cost of £10,000 (ex VAT)" for ten working days, and it is the only sprint here that includes a website, a single-page Squarespace site, along with templates and social assets. It offers unlimited design amends and states plainly that naming is not included.

Proof of Work Studio, also London, puts positioning and identity in one sprint: "$15,000 flat. No discovery fee, no change orders inside the agreed scope." Two weeks of work, three to four weeks elapsed, two structured feedback rounds, half on kickoff.
Condensed in Brooklyn does something rarer: it publishes its whole ladder in a post titled "How Much Does Branding Cost in 2026." The baseline is $10,000 to $15,000 for two to three weeks and about three logo options; startups start at $15,000 to $20,000; the "full brand build" with positioning, values and voice is $20,000 to $40,000; the top is $40,000 to $60,000 over two to three months. Naming runs $5,000 to $25,000. It is also honest about the base tier: the style guide there does not cover "voice, tone, values, or positioning statements."
Designjoy is not a branding agency but gets bought as one. At $4,995 a month, one request at a time, logos and brand guides are among the request types, with 75 percent back in the first week. It is design capacity, not a positioning project.
Startup specialists with a published price

The Branx sells an identity package "starting at €25k" in three weeks for AI and SaaS startups, with guidelines built "for your team and their LLMs," and websites, motion, messaging and decks as add-ons. The modularity is the point: "Start with the identity. Add the rest when you're ready."

Metabrand publishes two ranges that do not match. Its startup page says seed engagements "typically run $18,500 to $40,000" and Series A "$40,000 to $150,000"; its homepage says "start at $15k" and $18,000 to $35,000 with a Webflow site. Four to eight weeks for the brand, eight to twelve with the site. It positions on seniority: "former Landor & Fitch and Interbrand senior strategists."

Ramotion publishes the highest figures in the set, with the most in the box: a brand sprint at $50,000 for six weeks, brand creation from $60,000 over 10 to 18 weeks, and a one-to-five page site at $25,000 to $60,000, aimed at startups "emerging from stealth or preparing for a Seed/Series A raise." Named work includes Descript and Flatfile.
The quote-only studios

Red Antler built Casper, Allbirds, Hinge, Ramp and Chime, runs a "dedicated pre-launch team" for founders, and publishes no price; its form asks whether you are in market or pre-launch, not your budget. Koto serves Instagram, Amazon and Microsoft alongside startups like Coda and Mews, and its contact page is office emails. Clay offers "time & materials, fixed fee, and retainer" at a blended rate after discovery. Big Human quotes after scoping and says naming "might add a few weeks." Mission Control, established in 2025 by founders from Clay, sells "brand, product, and websites" by email; the famous logos on its site are labelled as the founders' work at Clay.

How to choose
- Decide the job first. A two-week sprint makes you credible; a $50,000 program makes you distinctive. Before product-market fit, credible is usually enough.
- Budget naming separately. Almost nobody includes it. Condensed prices it at $5,000 to $25,000.
- Ask whether the site comes with it. Foundation includes one page; Metabrand, The Branx and Ramotion sell sites alongside; the rest hand you guidelines.
- Count the rounds. Unlimited amends (Foundation), two structured rounds (Proof of Work), two then hourly (Upspire Labs). The number matters more than the adjective.
Where we fit
This is us, so weigh it accordingly. Startup Branding is $9,500 flat: first concepts in two business days, the full package in seven to ten, covering a logo system that survives favicon and app-icon size, a palette checked for interface contrast, a type system, a brand book and starter assets, with unlimited revisions on the chosen direction. Naming and Verbal Identity is $5,000 separately; what brand naming is covers what a name costs everywhere else. The difference we sell is that the person designing the identity is the one who builds the site and product next, which is how ILTY and LOVU were made. We do not run the consumer-scale campaigns Red Antler does. For the same comparison in hospitality, see hotel branding agencies.
Frequently asked questions
Read on 25 September 2026 from the agencies' own sites: fixed brand sprints run $10,000 (Upspire Labs), £10,000 (Foundation) and $15,000 (Proof of Work Studio). Condensed publishes tiers from $10,000 to $60,000 by depth. Mid-market startup specialists start at €25,000 (The Branx), $15,000 to $40,000 for seed (Metabrand), and $50,000 for a six-week sprint (Ramotion). Red Antler, Koto, Clay, Big Human and Mission Control do not publish a price. A subscription such as Designjoy at $4,995 a month can produce a logo and guide, but it is design capacity, not a brand strategy project.
A fixed-price, fixed-time branding engagement, usually two weeks, that produces positioning, a logo system, colour, type and guidelines. Upspire Labs delivers on day 10, Foundation in 10 working days, Proof of Work Studio in two weeks of work. Ramotion uses the same name for a six-week, $50,000 engagement, so compare what is included, not the label.
Usually not. Upspire Labs and Foundation say so explicitly; Condensed prices naming separately at $5,000 to $25,000; SUUR sells Naming and Verbal Identity at $5,000 separately. Red Antler, Big Human, Koto and Ramotion list naming as a service inside quoted projects. If you need a name, budget it on its own line and do it first.
Some do. Foundation includes a single-page Squarespace site in its £10,000 sprint. Metabrand and The Branx sell Webflow sites as part of or alongside the brand. Ramotion prices a one to five page site at $25,000 to $60,000. Condensed and Upspire Labs keep the site separate. Brand and website from the same team usually means fewer handoffs and a site that actually looks like the brand.
When the brand is part of the product and the budget can carry it: a consumer company launching nationally, a Series A rebrand, a category where trust is the whole sale. The firms that publish their numbers put that end at $40,000 to $150,000 and more. Before product-market fit, most startups are better served by a two-week sprint that gets them credible, and a rebrand later when they know who they are.
At minimum a logo system that works at favicon size, a colour palette checked for interface contrast, a type system, and guidelines a non-designer can follow. Better packages add positioning and messaging, application mockups, and templates for decks and social. Ask how many rounds of revision, who owns the files, and whether the guidelines cover voice as well as visuals; Condensed notes that its base tier does not.
